Just rented the ugliest car available

It was only a 100 € total. Can you tell by this picture without looking?

Looks a lot like a new Honda Civic but that's a two doors sedan.

This one of yours seems four doors...

Audi A2 ?

Toyota Prius.

meine Stimme auch für Toyota Prius

Prius wins :-)

Toyota Pious, sorry Prius?

it might be ugly (in the eye of the beholder), but I'm more interested in how you like driving it. We had our Prius for almost 3 years and loved it (sold it because we were driving to little)

The only good thing is you don't have to look at it while you're driving!

Where did you rent the Toyota Prius?

Maybe it's not the most beautiful car, my wife hates it. But i like the car, especially the hybrid drive.

Manfred Wiktorin, 2008-10-15 18:22

Larry David has one ... well it musst be a great car then ;-)

Claude Lehmann, 2008-10-15 19:56

jcf, will let you know what I think. However, I am driving it in the US. And I have liked almost every single car there. Just because driving is less competitive.

meanwhile, I'm in your neighborhood and Hertz upgraded me to a Mercedes S-class. Something seems wrong about this picture :)

Funny you say this is "ugly". In Laguna Beach this is the cool "green" car to own. Usually they're parked in garages next to the owners' Range Rovers, Porsches or Maseratis ;-)

Ken Bisconti, 2008-10-15 23:47

Ed, maybe you can make a detour before returning the vehicle?

Ken, it may be "cool", but it is still ugly.

@vowe when do you leave for the US? It looks like I might be free on Friday afternoon evening. I'll try to be online tomorrow

I leave Sunday. Friday afternoon would be brilliant.

Last two years Toyota placarded half London with the slogan "There is no C in Prius" - referring to the sign used for the congestion charge... Result: I haven't seen not a single Prius while I lived there...

Toyota Priapos

@Wolfgang - You clearly went around London with your eyes closed. There over 100 of them in my car park alone.

Ben Rose, 2008-10-16 15:07

ROTFLMAO @Ben Rose -- yes, that car park has a bit of a bias though :)

Hybrid geht auch stylisher! Ich sage nur "Lexus GS 450h" ;-)
Wenn es das S-Klasse-Format sein soll, gibt es natürlich auch den LS 600h... -> Foto

My uncle recently bought a Lexus GS340h. I've just driven it. Yes it's a hybrid, but one with a 3.5 litre engine. The acceleration is amazing, with both the electric and internal combustion engines providing power, and incredibly smooth - no jolts, no perceivable gear changes, etc. To my eyes it also looks great.

Nick Shelness, 2008-10-18 11:10

Nick, I think that is the GS430h, now a GS450h.

@Vowe: Just 100 €? For how many days? So, are you heading back home Wednesday night itself?

Sri Bedathur, 2008-10-18 19:40

Three days. $44/day including all fees, taxes, insurance, airport surchage ... Taxi is $90 one way. Yes, I am returning on Wednesday.

Volker, yes its a 450. I thought I had made that change in my text, but it got lost.
