Upgrading from Domino 6.5 to 8.5?

If you're upgrading from Lotus Domino Server 6.5 to 8.5, stop what you're doing, call IBM and get a hold of the hotfix for SPR's LMAN7R6L44, JCIK7PFGCT, which is one hotfix that you need to apply to your 8.5 servers BEFORE you move any data on to them. If you don't do this and apply 8.5 policies onto those 6.5 mail files, bad things will happen and your end users won't be able to user their mail files anymore, either with the Notes client or iNotes.

they should add a health checker in the installer that goes online and sees if there is any dependencies that needs to be added that way everyone else will automaticly get the knowledge

I had the same issue during the migration of a customer end of April.
In German you would say "Da war das Kind bereits in den Brunnen gefallen." :-(
We were able to fix it, with a Lotus Script agent, which clean ups the profile documents.
What I do not understand, that there is still no official Interim Fix for the issue?
I had posted it in the Design Partner Forum and opened an SPR.
