*#*#4636#*#*
by Volker Weber
*#*#4636#*#* That's what you need to dial on your Android to get into the test mode.

Isn't there an app for that? ;-)
That "app" would be a contact - maybe on speed dial or enabled for voice-dialing, right?
@Ragnar: That App would be AnyCut.
*#*#INFO#*#* is easier to remember. 8)
Robert, why is a dedicated app needed if all that's necessary is dialing a given number? I mean, I don't own an Android device (yet), but I would assume that I can place a shortcut to a phone number from my address book on the start screen...
Well, since you don't know a thing, you can still speculate about the difference between dialing a number and typing a keyboard sequence. :-)
And there is one for *#*#CHECKIN#*#* too. Still not what it's good for, though...
Ups - ich kaufe ein "sure" ;-)
@Ragnar: no app needed at all. And BTW: that's not "dialing". :-) It's making Field Service applications startable without actually having to make them accessible through menu entries.
Actually there are lots of these. Try TALK (8255) instead of INFO.
