Flawless zebra
by Volker Weber
This is the Nokia 808 Pureview, with a little twist. I exchanged the back cover. Now it's black both in the front and back, while the body is still white.
But that's not my point. I used the phone as a multi purpose tool during this week's USA visit:
- All videos* where shot with the phone: Lumia hands on and the Jo Harlow Interview.
- All photos during the trip were shot with the PureView camera.
- I was using VoIP with SIPgate to call home. Cost: zero. I terminate one SIPgate account on my Fritz!Box 7390 and the other one on the Nokia phone's native SIP client.
- All the photos I was shooting automatically started uploading to Microsoft SkyDrive, whenever I had Wi-Fi Access. A bit like Apple's photostream, with way more storage space.
The camera currently defines how useful a phone is to my work. And this one performed absolutely flawlessly.
*) This is how a video sounds when shot in the same venue without the 808 Rich Recording.

Du warst am fünften in NY? Und dann noch Jo Harlow interviewt? Elop gesprochen?
Erm (Symbian newbie). Im Store finde ich das nicht
The 808 is perfect for travel.. I don't think any other phone comes even close.
That back cover looks very well, where did you get just the cover ? I can't find it anywhere online...
Nils, Skydrive ist Bestandteil von Microsoft Apps v2.1. Hast Du das installiert?
Vas, you need to find somebody with a black 808 who also wants a zebra. ;-)
Hmm, das software update hat mich bis 2.0.1 gebracht und der app store biete nur 2.0 an
