had that last week with a samsung s3 (at work). it was JUST a 20cm drop to concrete floor!!!
I bet the 925-drop was much higher...

That is why I wrap my phones with a flexible (as in shock absorbing) case. Preferably one which rises slightly higher than the front glass, so if it falls face down, the first impact hits the case instead of the glass. Has saved me many times, as I tend to drop things. I agree this takes away from slenderness. Usually the flexible cases also have better grip than the phones themselves.
first big smartphone I used, (i.e. larger than an HTC Hero) I bought a gel case immedeately and withion 15 minutes dropped it on concrete from 150 cm, no damage. Sold me on the concept for life.
