Groove Web Services

by Volker Weber

Groove Networks has published WSDL files for Groove Web Services:

Groove 2.5 software introduces Groove Web Services, an open and extensible web services API that provides web services from a desktop. Groove Web Services provide programmatic access to Groove tools and objects through SOAP interfaces, available for Groove Workspace's most popular components, including Files, Discussion, Calendar, Contacts, Members, and Awareness. Further, Groove Web Services infrastructure supports 3rd party developers' ability to expose their custom Groove tools as web services.

Using Groove Web Services, Groove data and functionality can be integrated with, and embedded within, other applications, regardless of whether those applications reside locally on the same device as Groove Workspace or remotely on some other network-connected device.

The bad news is: No security.
