MovableType 2.61 released

by Volker Weber

That means it is now safe to upgrade. There always seems to be a x.y1 version shortly after the x.y version comes out. Six Apart is a very small shop that cannot do extensive testing. The software has to be tested out there in the real world. Over time I have learned to let other people do that. :-)

Update: It is actually version 2.62 already. I hope that I waited long enough to avoid yet another update.

I have to agree with you, although I was surprised that both the MT2.6 and MT2.61 updates themselves went completely smoothly.

I continue to be very impressed with the software and the plugins.

Now: how about upgrading, so I can preview my posts and stop putting quite so many errors up on the web? :)

Got MT installed and seems to look good (and my server has sped up once I removed Python from it). Now - what's a good site to learn more about MT?

Jens-Christian,

try some of these (in order of length of the link :)

http://mt-plugins.org/
http://www.emptypages.org/
http://www.scriptygoddess.com/
http://www.thegirliematters.com/tips/
http://love-productions.com/lovelinks/mt/oldlinks/cat_mt_plugins.php

and of course, the support forum for MT:
http://www.movabletype.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi

You should find some stuff to interest you in one of those!
