Sametime on a Mac
by Volker Weber
Finally I got around trying Mercury to access Sametime servers from Snoopy. It is a very early, but also stable implementation. I advise to go try it out.

IBM internally offers an option for MAC/Linux users called "Sanity" which is based on Perl.
Looks pretty slick from what I've heard.
Yes, I looked at this. It is built with Perl and uses GTK. Not my dream setup for a Mac application. I would use that on Linux though.
Seems like someone has been giving Ed Wrenbeck (creator of the Pi Messenger Sametime client for the Mac) a hard time over at the Mercury site. I think that's pretty lousy. Kudos to everyone coding this stuff, and giving it away.
Ouch
Do you know of any place I can get the Sanity client to give it a shot?
Hi,
I worked as an intern at IBM this past summer. I used the Sanity Perl sametime client. It's pretty awesome. As the authors put it, it sucks less than everything else. If you can find it, I highly recommend it. Well, that's my 2 cents.
