Cool background. But why don't you use Cmd-Alt-3 in favour of Grab?

Cmd-Alt-3 does nothing here. Cmd-Shift-3 creates a PDF. I want a bitmap though.

ok, but you can convert the pdf using Preview into a bitmap ;-)
... well, that really doesn't matter anyway ...
