IBM layoffs

e-Pro Magazine reports about the latest layoffs from IBM's Software Group:
Big Blue is handing out pink slips again, this time to about 300 members of its Software Group's direct sales force. This is the latest in a series of job cuts in the Software Group, following cuts of 200 jobs in November 2003 and 400 jobs in September 2003. In February 2003, IBM eliminated a combined 1,000 jobs from the Software Group and IBM Global Services.
