Notes databases larger than 2GB on a Mac

Jim Vaselopulos of PSC alerted me yesterday of IBM SPR #ARUI5NLKEJ which does not seem to be in the Domino Fix List Database. So, I cannot give you the exact description. In a nutshell: You cannot have a database larger than 2 GB on the Mac 6.x Notes client. Bummer. Now I know why the replicator throws the "operating system error" when I try to replicate my application.
This issue is supposed to be resolved in 6.0.4 and 6.5.1. Holding my breath.

I"ve seen this limit with the archive of a mail database. However, it might even be lower then 2 gigs because I have databases around 1.2 gig that don't want to accept more data.
Sorry, I couldn’t warn you about this, as I haven’t hit the limit — 2GB is more than half my hard drive capacity, after all ;-)
