Steve Ballmer regrets

If you heard Steve Ballmer say: "That's probably the thing I feel worst about over the last few years ..." to what do you think he's referring? If you're like us, the phrase "Monkey Boy Dance" immediately springs to mind.
But, alas, he's referring to the fact Redmond didn't develop search engine technology and now has to play catch-up to Google. Ballmer's also a big believer in online advertising and has told his staff to "saturate" the Web with Microsoft ads, thus further endearing the company to users.
"I want to make sure [a user] can't get through ... an online experience without hitting a Microsoft ad," he said.

Ich hatte mal vor einigen Jahren mit Steve Ballmer in Frankfurt einen Lunch. Wir sassen zu dritt am Tisch und er quetschte mich die ganze Zeit aus. Er bombardierte mich mit Fragen zum deutschen Markt. Ich glaube, er hat in der ganzen Zeit kaum etwas gegessen. Er ist das grösste Energiebündel, dem ich jemals begegnet bin. Er frisst einen regelrecht auf. Aber faszinierend und kompromisslos. Er rückt einem dicht auf die Pelle - etwa 10cm Nasenspitze zu Nasenspitze.
Ohne ihn wäre MS nicht das geworden, was es geworden ist. Bill hätte es nicht geschafft.
