Carly quits
by Volker Weber
Marketwatch reports:
Most blue chips were trading red but Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ - News) was logging a 7.6 percent gain after the computer hardware giant announced that Carleton Fiorina had stepped down as chairman and CEO of the company, effective immediately.
"While I regret the board and I have differences about how to execute HP's strategy, I respect their decision," Fiorina said in a statement.
The company's chief financial officer Robert Wayman was named interim CEO.
Carly quits and HP spikes. That is a strong statement. Has anything she tried actually worked?

She quit after she was fired....
And let's not stop there! There's an army of HP consultants out there screwing up an untold number of Domino infrastructures as we speak...I would definitely respect the board's decision to "quit" them too!
