We are coming back

Is that proper Glasgow or really Ayr?
That is Prestwick. Ryan Air flies from (Frankfurt-)Hahn to (Glasgow-)Prestwick.
That's what I thought, I'm still amazed what these budget airlines get away with. Ayr-Prestwick is what that things should be called (or at best Kilmarnock-Prestwick).
Anyway, have fun and enjoy the long days, especially if you go up a bit further north.
I've just come back from Islay three weeks ago and plan the next visit for mid/late July.
If you need anywhere to stop over in Edinburgh just let us know.
Thanks Kitty, we are staying with friends in Meigle. I think we will skip Edinburgh this time.
And this time, I'll actually be in the country on those dates!
Dunno if you've seen Germanwings.com, but they fly to Edinburgh - and that will save you 2 hours or so at this end ?

Thanks, Bill. That's what we flew last time. However, in this case it would have been more expensive, 375 instead of 84, including all taxes. Plus, Cologne is a bit farther from us than Hahn, and we would not get to see Glasgow. We will do that on the 13th.
Winning the UK City of Architecture and Design in 1999 and prior to that European City of Culture in 1990, Glasgow is one of the cutural destinations of Europe.
No I can't type anymore - the tears of laughter are blurring the screen
You want to come along?
Burrell Collection, House for an Artlover, Glasgow School of Art, Hunterian Art Gallery, People's Palace, Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis, Kelvingrove Museum & Art Gallery (unfortunately currently closed for refurbishment, a lot of it is displayed at the McLellan Galleries though), Tenement House, The Lighthouse, City Chambers, Sharmanka Kinetic Gallery, The Barras, CCA.
How are you going to do all this in one day?
And don't forget the shopping! Though it hurts to admit it, it is better than Edinburgh for it.
