Yes, the number plates of cars have to unrecognizable, when you publish them to keep the privacy of the owners.

Use polarisation filters - they get rid of (most) of the reflections. CCD cameras (still and video) need circular polarisation filters. Analog cameras (aka "Fotoapperat") can use the (standard) linear polarisation filters.

except it is a autofocus camera. Autofocus sensors require circular pols , too
