@Sascha, just use the native Thinkpad-Tool (click on the battery icon and choose battery information)

heh, what was the first thing i did when i got the thinkpad, format it (and unluckily destroy the service partition that does the quick restore) ;).
so i guess i will have to download thinkpad tools again ;)
