Crosswinds

Still wondering why I like Top Gear so much? Watch this. And do ignore the ads.

This happened to a taxi driver in Brazil once. It also shows how flawed (although fun) the US show mythbusters is. The US show couldn'y use a real plane because of insurance issues, so they just used a wind machine jet and couldn't get a car to flip.

As crazy as it soundss, Top Gear is one of those things I miss about living back home :-(

@Carl - Both Top Gear and Fifth Gear are fully downloadable on BitTorrent networks. Some details Here

As the owner of my own 'lightweight hippy-car' I would protest the conditions of the experiment - I'm sure that having a driver in there (especially me) would make all the difference to the results, since that doubles the weight of a 2CV.

"It´s a service we provide this stuff.." how funny is this!

Well, maybe they learned from this tape. :-)

No surprise at all that it's a Virgin plane. Did you notice into what a beautiful landscape they put the bird? Top spot for airplane portraits.

Senseless — in two or three ways.

Nick, now I am a bit concerned. A 2CV has a net weight of 600kg. So you must be pretty close to the world's heaviest man.

Haiko, Top Gear is produced at Dunsfold. So they just got the plane there. ;-) During Stephen Ladyman's lap in a reasonably priced car you could see the 747 sitting in the background on the tarmac.
