Subject: creating and mounting a netowrk drive
Dear Mr weber, I installed suse linux 10.0 and turned it into a domain controller. I succeeded in creating samba users and successfully logged on from my windows xp professional. Now my next step is to share a folder from my linux server to a specified group only and when users log on from windows xp only the ones within that group shall be able to see that folder which will be visible as a network drive. How can i do that? thanks

I'm not sure I get the point... a hint, please.
from Volker´s FAQ:
"Hire me. My rate would be one hundred an hour. Plus VAT and expenses. Four hours minimum. Dollars for small problems, Euros for big problems. British Pounds for management problems."
:-)
Thx. That was my first thought, too, Armin. I just were not sure.
man smb.conf
www.samba.org - Samba 3 By Example book is online. This stuff isn't rocket science.
Martin, this problem doesn't qualify for the "four hours minimum". Well. I'd love to get paid for four hours when all you have to do is add some lines of the form "<keyword> = <option>" to a config file.
