Dare I say it looks better than on Windows? If only a little bit Chinese Japanese.

That's Japanese, actually:-)
Nothing looks good in Gnome. *ducksandrunsveryfast* =)
In KDE there wouldn't be enough room on the screen because buttons and menüs and all that sort of things would be twice as big.

There you have it. You cannot build Notes for Linux. You have to build it for 286 distributions with 55,000 skins, including 328 Aqua rip-offs. None of them any good.
Fluxbox, WindowMaker, [insert_minimalistic_window_manager] r0xx0rz ;-) *doesntrunbutfliessupersonic*
LOL @ Volker...too true!
ROTFL
Is there a prize for the first submittant to display Notes on TWM? =)
And I told them they just need to provide a pure console client with lots of keyboard shortcuts initiated with "Esc". Would be accepted immediately and really cross platform.
something like "Esc" Z-Z?
"vowe.net", 10 lines, 687 characters.
You could make Notes a plugin to Vim. On the other hand, this would raise the opposition from Emacs users. =)
As of today, it seems that the "Client" is still distributed as a WMC Plugin...
