VMware announces Mac beta
by Volker Weber
Love your Mac even more with the ability to simultaneously run any PC OS — Windows, Linux, NetWare and others — on Mac OS X. Switch between operating systems by easily tabbing between applications and share data between the two operating systems by dragging and dropping files on the fly — all without needing to reboot. What's more, you can create virtual machines and run them on other VMware products or run any VMware virtual machine on your Mac.

Let's wait and see what Steve is going to show off later today. I wouldn't be too surprised if he'd introduce something similar as a native Leopard feature. Dragging a contact from Outlook to the Mac OS Adress Book would surely make for one of those typical wow!-effects that Jobs loves in his keynotes.
Bootcamp is supposed to be a beta preview of some of the technology in Leopard. I wonder whether that will be as nifty as VMware though.
It's also interesting to note that VMware are doing a demo of this product on the same day as Steve, and in the same city... ;o)
Aha - so we will be able to run Sametime 7.5 on the Mac!
Vmware are late to the party, Parallels came out first.
