Something tells me the laughter was dubbed in afterwards, as there is NO WAY any sane person would proceed with this experiment after the crowd starts laughing once the blindfold goes on.

Duffbert, I don’t know where the original footage comes from, but this particular clip of it is from “Tarrant On TV”, a British TV show.
The premise of the show is that clips of funny TV from around the world are shown to a studio audience—it’s their laughter you can hear in this video, hence the reason no-one in the original footage notices.
