I often get asked how one says "vowe dot net". I just found out that your Mac can help you. Open a terminal and type this:
say fo vay dot net
And here is how my name is properly spoken:
say Folker Veber

Reminds me of a ski trip to Kirchberg and talking to someone and commenting on how much we were enjoying our BMW 5 series wagon. They didn't understand "Be Em Double-you", a helpful person translated it to "Be Em Vay". :-P
reminds my of playing with atari text to speech (I fly bleifrei).
