Dear vowe, you might have never seen & heard Bill Bruford or Terry Bozzio "playing" the drums - just to name two excellent drummers ...

You are correct - Bozzio and Bruford are truly amazing drummers. The Moore video shows how easy sticking patterns like RRLRRLRL repeated over and over again across the drum set can sound very musical :-).

There are sooooo many great dummers. I was working with a student of mine when we came across the Stanton Moore video. Trying teaching an 8 year old kid Weckl licks :-)
All good stuff. One of my favourites (from what little I’ve heard of his stuff) is Vinnie Colaiuta. Amazing chops and musicality.
