This seems to be a variation on a theme...
There was a program here on flemish tv (man bites dog), where they showed for 30 seconds or so a girl age 10 or 12 who was put each week or so in a different shopping center, put on some headphones and sang loudly along with the song, and the passersby looks on their faces was filmed.
