Benutzt jemand ein Apple TV?

Habe heute eine ganze Reihe von TV-Sendungen auf dem Netgear EVA700 angeschaut. Dateien auf den Memory Stick, Stick in den USB-Port, auf geht's. Soviel ich weiß, geht das mit dem Apple TV nicht. Deshalb meine Frage: Hat jemand von Euch ein Apple TV und was schaut Ihr damit?
Stefan hat diese Woche einen EVA8000 gesehen. Der wäre noch etwas besser als der EVA700.

Wir haben ein AppleTV zum Testen im Büro. Ist ganz nett, allerdings nervt das Synchronisieren zwischen Mac und AppleTV ein wenig. Für kurze Sendungen (einzelne Simpsons-Folgen, die ich mit Handbrake von der DVD in H.264 umgewandelt habe) ist das OK, kurzentschlossene Cineasten sollten die Filmauswahl etwas vorziehen bzw. eine längere Popcorn/Kaffee/Bier-Pause vor dem Film einlegen oder ausreichend Filme auf dem AppleTV parken.
Richtiges Streaming von einem NAS habe ich leider noch nicht hinbekommen. Das wäre eigentlich ideal, da ich dann nicht immer alle Filme doppelt (auf dem Mac und dem AppleTV) vorhalten müsste, sondern zentral an einem Ort speichern könnte.
Ich warte derzeit noch auf neue Innereien für die Xbox, um aus der ein Media Center basteln zu können. Vielleicht ist das ja genau das, was ich suche.
Mit ein bisschen Modifikation wird ein AppleTV sehr brauchbar. Link Mittlerweile schaue ich praktisch alles damit.
Ich hab auch grad eins zum Testen da. Im Moment schau ich darauf aber nur YouTube-Clips, alles andere ist mir zu umständlich.
I have one at home (in Austria) and must say that nearly everything is to my satisfaction - I have a AirPort extreme so I basically stream all the movies that I watch - this means that I do not have to worry about syncing anything to the AppleTV. The only "problem" that I have is that I need to convert the files to H264 (which I do with VisualHub) - this adds an extra step in my workflow which is starting to annoy me - would love it if the AppleTV could play DivX, XVid etc out of the box. Not being able to play DVD's (at least stream them) is a bit of a chore. Now that you can stream photos (iTunes 7.3) one of the last problems I had are gone.
To make the product better for me I would like:
o Stream Radio stations
o Movie Trailers - show only new
o Adjust sound with remote
o DivX, XVid etc added
o Display IMDB movie reviews / info to the currently selected movie
o Actually have some Movies in iTunes in Austria ;o)

Leider habe ich keinen passenden Flachbildschirm um ein Apple daran anzuschließen. Aber ein Mac Mini an meinem Sony Röhrenfernseher erfüllt die gleiche Funktion.
Wir haben Apple TV zu hause und machen folgende Dinge damit:
1. Bilder anschauen auf TV mit Musik untermalen - imho killerapp
2. Videorekorder Ersatz, auf dem dem Mac (DigitalHub ;- ) mit eyetv welches uns die MItschnitte auf AppleTV beamt - wenn geschaut, dann wirds geloescht (unreadmarks funkt hier sehr gut ;-)
3. VideoPodcasts aller Art - einach super! von MacNews bis Horst Schlaemmer . fuer die janze Familie
4. jetzt Youtube, macht einfach Laune!
5. Filme sehen wir selten, aber wenn dann mit VisualHub konvertieren.
We bought an Apple TV a few weeks ago to replace a Roku SoundBridge - TV doesn't figure at all in our use. We use it to play music via iTunes on the stereo in the lounge. The TV display is great for scrolling up and down the artist lists etc - I don't even need to put my glasses on to read it :-)
BTW: Re. USB port on the Apple TV - this may be of interest, although nothing to do with transferring TV shows.
