New York Times uncovers Fake Steve Jobs
by Volker Weber
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 5 — For the last 14 months, high-tech insiders have been eating up the work of an anonymous blogger who assumed the persona of Steven P. Jobs, Apple’s chief executive and one of the world’s most famous businessmen.
Fake Steve is Daniel Lyons of Forbes Magazine.

“Dan Lyons has sense of humour!” Shock headline!
Good on him; a far better use of his writing prowess than some of the stuff he’s churned out, I would venture.
-That- is beyond ironic. No mention by the Times of his "Attack of the Blogs!" piece....
I love FSJ but I don't love Daniel Lyons...
I have to agree with Bruce. I think that this "outing" has ruined FSJ for me. :-(
I didn't know Mr. Lyons before, but I sure enjoy FSJ a lot...
Bruce, and here I was thinking you loved Gayle.
But of course I love Gayle Volker. Even after this.
Dan Lyons -- We should have seen this ahead of time. Its clear the man is far more capable of fictional than factual reporting. Perhaps he's just found his niche.
