Paintbrush is a Cocoa-based paint program for Mac OS X, similar to Microsoft Paint and the now-defunct MacPaint. The project's ultimate goal is to recreate the basic functionality of Microsoft Paint, which has been noticeably absent from Mac OS X for years.

It’s true! In the office I probably use Paint on a daily basis for simple grabs and tweaks… when at home, a combination of Goldberg and Fireworks always seems like overkill.
I use Skitch for the small image editing.
Sound Recorder? This reminds me of the PC vs. Mac ad where PC tells Mac that he has alot of fun applications like calc.exe installed.
"Sounds like hours of fun"
If 'doodling' is really what you want - my preference is my 1992 copy of KidPix, which still works very nicely under Classic (there are some advantages to having a fossil computer, I suppose). But I have never tried to recreate the Mona Lisa on it...
Browsers can paint nowadays.
Timo, I just lack the skills to use that ;)
My Mona doesn't look happy.
Gee. Sigh. Pixelmator is coming.
