Waiting for DSL
by Volker Weber
A wireless bridge to my neighbor, courtesy of Netgear, provides Internet connectivity while I am waiting for the DSL line.

At least you can expect something that calls itself DSL ;)
I would be happy if t-com would be able to provide me at least 1mbit. they force me to use that 384kbit lightdsl -- despite the fact that my router tells me that the dsl would do 2.7mbit just fine.
Does your neighbour know about this wireless bridge ;-)
I am also waiting for the fiberglas connection: 100 Mbit down 10Mbit up.

ciao marco
Chris, how do you set up a bridged network?
Stefan, most access points allow a client mode that emulates a standard client and does a NAT behind that connection. this way one can e.g. share hotel wlan and save quite some cash :-)
So, your internet connection until today was what? ISDN? Modem? Drums? ;-)
I was waiting six weeks :-(
Sascha,
Chris, my neighbor has the other end of the bridge. I gave it to him, so yes, he should know.
