I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I think it's a little stark. I'd start by painting the walls a pale yellow, then taping off a grid pattern (60cm or so) on the wall on the right and put up chocolate-colored Venetian plaster. Then I'd paint the ceiling a dark pumpkin color and maybe do some kind of abstract painting on the cubes, or put a wallpaper mural across them. :-)
