Short of the shipping part they are close to reality. The overseas workers are called "maids" and not a low number of them is unregulated (a.k.a. illegal).

Due to the rather poor level of social security that Italy offers, this has been common practice, for the elderly people, at least the past fifteen years.

You like to have grandma or grandpa living at home with all of you but she/he is old and needs to be looked after? Take an Ecuadorian or Ukrainian maid.

It's not illegal, though, and they get free accommodation, wages, and residency permit.

Of course, they will look after the children as well.
