Suggestion for Lotusphere

by Volker Weber

Build a kick-ass BlackBerry application which keeps everyone updated on sessions, session repeats, overflow rooms, parties etc. Maybe something cool like "what's on now, what's on next". Publish the whole thing two weeks before the show, so that "enterprise" users can get clearance from Mordac.

Nobody really needs another inbox on the portal. And please, no beta software. Use something that works.

I actually did a generic mobile app for sessions a few years ago:

It was information exported from Ben Langhinrich's session database. If IBM doesn't have anything like that, I could do it again if people think they would actually use it. Keeping it updated with repeat sessions and the like is a different matter.

Why bother with a special BlackBerry application? Just set up an RSS feed.

Technically, I'd prefer an Atom feed any time ;)

OK, I'll say it - what about those of us that don't use Blackberries?? Cool idea otherwise, though.

One of the many reasons I set up the Twitter conference account for Lotusphere.

Another great reason to use it.
