Adium 1.2.1 Released

by Ken Porter

I found the recent 1.2 update to Adium to be less than Adium 1.0perfect. I was experiencing problems with the chat window and received the dreaded spinning beach ball far too often. Now my favourite open source Mac chat client, and Volker's Plan B, has been updated to 1.2.1.

The list of changes in this version is long, and so far my initial impressions of this latest release are good. So start up the Duck, and it will ask to install the update for you, or click here to go to the download page and get it.

I still wonder how long it is going to take them to move the transcripts of the chats out of ~/Library to a decent place so spotlight will be able to index them.

Just symlink the folder to somewhere else for spotlight to index it.

Thats is why I am wondering. The solution (or workaround) is so easy.

Still having an interesting bug under Leopard. If my contact list is loaded on a space in the background the mouse over events to show the user details are fireded on the active space. Hope they soon fix it!

I might be missing something, but maybe someone knows... when does Adium support IRC? That would be so nice really, I could use that feature really. Colloquy is nice enough, but having all in one *is* a plus for me personally.
