How are you liking the new banners?

by Volker Weber

I decided to post more than one banner for this month. There are almost 20 different ones. How are you liking them? Do you have any more suggestions? I am going to pick some from the comments if I like them. Try to be positive, be brief, don't ever mention ILUG, and don't emphasize the alcohol, which the Irish like to drink. :-)

Comments

I think they're great. I've been getting a laugh out of them all. Suggestions:

You sign up, you show up. Or we kill Fluffy.

Help us make Rob Novak buy hundreds of beers.

No, Paul, you won't get another Mac.

You pays your money, you takes your chances. Or not, in this case.

Suits are forbidden. Cursing is mandatory.

Three days of insanity. And that's just Buchan's session.

This is a fun game, there could be hundreds of them...

Something technical. The images are bigger than they're displayed. So the browser needs to do the resizing which doesn't look good.

Safari (on Windows) handles this better than FFox and IE. See here.

Dang. You are right. The images are 18 px too wide. I am now replacing the code until I have fixed the images.

There are now 24 banners.

Half an hour later, 24 banners are fixed. Now the caching proxy has to reload the images and all should be fine.
