Early bird travel for Lotusphere

by Volker Weber

lh464

LH464 was booked solid last year and they tried to buy people off the plane. I could not get a flight on Saturday when I tried to book and had to travel a day early. Now there are still plenty of seats on LH464/465, direct service from FRA to MCO. Make up your mind early, and you will have no difficulties getting the direct flight.

Ah. Perhaps because Penumbra isnt inviting too many Europeans this time ?

Or perhaps more flights ?

I dont think LotusFear attendance will go down this year. It might not leap up, but I dont think it'll go down.

Or, maybe because a lot of people (especially in Europe, where the immigration and cost constraints are higher) wait to see the agenda before booking flights and buying tickets?

Or, maybe because European citizens visiting the US are fed up of having to go through the nightmare and hassle that is TSA and US immigration. I am betting some people will turn up at Lotusphere without their laptops.

Or maybe because Volker booked earlier this year than last year? That's how I interpreted the post. Am I missing something? Well, other than the obvious (hair, a basic understanding of irony, and my cousin Steve's hollow leg)...

You are reading too much into this. It's meant as a reminder for vowe.net readers to beat the crowd for the direct flight. On a connecting flight chances of failure are much higher.

I was unable to get a seat last year, and that was 10 days earlier, come to think of it.

Nice to see that I am not the only one looking into this.

I checked for the flight two days ago as well.

Now waiting for my company to allow Lotusphere 2009.....
