Yessss - it's time for a new MacBook Pro :-)...
Yay! Been holding out for 4 months now after my iPod died...and just to add salt to my wounds, I bet units won't ship for 3-4 weeks after the announcement. BB curve is a poor imitation (but it did get me through).
It's highly unlikely that Apple will announce both iPods and Macs. Don't hold your breath.
I'm also betting this was the reason they did their big ipod touch/ipod nano give away for any students who bought macbooks over the past few months. Trying to dump that inventory for the new stuff.
I'm sure you're right, Volker. However they could make a second event two weeks later or they could upgrade them without event - wouldn't be the first time if it's just a technology upgrade.
Dang, I was hoping for some Macbook / MBP hardware too, but as you say, unlikely now.
Thanks for that hint! this morning I was thinking about replacing my 4g ipod with the latest model, but now I will wait a couple of days. cheers, Olaf
