iPhone 2.1 software available

The iPhone 2.1 software update contains many bug fixes and improvements. To get it, connect your iPhone to your computer using iTunes 8 and click Check for Update.
You may want to hold off for now if you unlocked or jailbroke your device.
Update: Updated my unlocked 1st gen iPhone and it's still working. :-)

The update works with G2 Jailbroken / unlocked devices quite well, the improvements are huge, device is much faster, genius playlists work like a charm, and it seems as if reception is a bit better. 3rd party apps installed via cydia or installer are gone....
trying it out right now on a non-jailbroken 3G. First impression is good, if it solves the battery issue, I might loose the jailbreak on the other 3G. As Quickpwn seems not to work too well with iTunes 8 and 3G 2.1, and as I don´t own any Windows machine to follow the steps in QuickPwn, I will wait until there is a better solution to run off a Mac.
Nevertheless, like against all DRM, there will be a solution sometime. I sincerely hope. Anyway, this gives me a good opportunity to compare, especially with regards to using Exchange and see what implications the update has with regards to battery life. I am curious.
