Is the T-Mobile web'n' walk software a stripped down version of Launch2Net from Nova Media? Just like Vodafone's dashboard software?

Yves Luther, 2008-11-01

No, Vodafone has apparently licensed Launch2Net. The T-Mobile software is much simpler.

I've switched from E-Plus to T-Mobile a few months ago, and was very pleasantly surprised. Download rates are usually > 300 kB/s, pings at about 100 ms, the network is quite stable, and whereever there is no 3G available (particularly on trains), there is very reliable Edge coverage - I was even able to queeze a 10 MB attachment through the pipe on the train in the mointains between Leipzig and Nürnberg.

For the first time, 3G is a very usable solution for me instead of a crutch.

@Volker: Thanx.

I'll give it a try. Maybe I can get rid of the only remaining PowerPC process on my MB Pro: 'NMPCCardDemonVM'.

Volker, do you have a download link for that software? I have a T-mobile USB 3G device, but mine just had some drivers to install and uses the Mac dial-up utility. It would be useful to have those stats...
