Be sure to update. There is now version 2.71 in the store.

I'd be curious how you would compare the iPhone/iTouch controller for Sonos to the native harware controller (the C100 ?).

Glen, partly he already did. I love the iPhone controller, works great for me. But i didn't buy th C100 since i bought my Sonos after the release of the iPhone controller, so i can't compare.

Hi Dirk - I read the prior post and agree that if you have an iPhone/iTouch, you can get started for a lower entry point. However, if you are doing more than one room, you basically get the C100 for about $100 US. i don't have an iPhone so I am very interested in comparisons of the C100 to the iPhone software. This may all be moot because Sonos could come out with a bundle that does not include the C100.

Glen,

The CR100 is still best for kitchen/bathroom - e.g. wet environment or wet hands. The CR100 is still also easier for some functions like skipping tracks, as it has hard buttons for those. Some of the iPhone screens do now have a skip track "button" so you are forced to change screen mode first which can be inconvenient.

The iPhone controller wins by a mile when browsing online services like Napster, due to it's on screen keyboard.

They are both good, but I am glad to have both. For sure the iPod controller hasn't replaced my CR100 and I still regularly use both. I still also use the desktop controller on my PC as it's still the easiest when I'm at my console.
