Perfect placement for Garmin navigator
by Volker Weber
This mount is not a joke. Garmin suggest to attach the navigator in this location. This is the demo car in the Garmin booth. ;-)

Took me several seconds to find the device. Today: blind driving. :-)
Well, it's a Mini...
The Mini is a nice example of a car that would be much more desireable right away when fitted with a dashboard that can actually be used.
If the steering was on the right side that location wouldn't be so much of an issue. Provided the satnav isn't moved as well.
Your own fault you've got it all the wrong way round over there.
lol - Does it mean that I've become jaded when I expected the photo to show a Garmin Navigator sitting in a rubbish bin? ;-)
Stick with Magellan my friend.
The whole interior design is terrible!
A car I would never buy: A Mini with this interior!
I drove e mini last weekend. I attached the nav. (Becker, same size as garmin, I think) at the lower left side of the windshield. Worked perfectly with minimal line-of-sight obstruction in that small (but funny) car.
Some times ago I bought a Garmin Navigator entry level, just for curiosity:
What an error, I still regret my beloved TomTom One, the one that was stolen from my car :-(
Umm, why is everyone bitching about how the Mini Dash looks like.
When I drive, I like to look out of that large picture window at the front. It makes it less - well - crashy...
(And the mini is an excellent car to drive, BTW. A little harsh on bad roads, but oodles of fun. Go on - test drive the Cooper S and I challenge you NOT to get out the car grinning. Whereas my new VW Sirocco is something different. A proper Grand Tourer.. I suspect I might take it on some long journeys this year.. )

Why? Because the dash looks like it was done by some second semester design student.
The car is great. And I would want one if they'd made a decent interior.
As a man on his second MINI in six years, I'm very happy with the dashboard, but haven't yet taken the plunge into GPS ( typical British male, use map, get lost, shout out window at strangers, get lost, give up )
