I just use the web interface of my Synology diskstation, drop the url in there and done. Big advantage: my Mac at home can sleep while i'm at work.

I'm going to try this out to see if it feels better than the webinterface of SABnzbd and Transmission.
One thing that's certainly special in Dropbox: share a (sub)folder with others. You could share your favourite downloads there...

Or take the FireFox-Plugin "Download-Helper". Two clicks and download starts. No hassle with any further tools for capturing streaming media.
