Best OS for the BlackBerry Bold so far

I have been pretty adventurous with my BlackBerry firmware recently. Still have not found one for the Storm that works for me. I have also had some issues with different builds for the Bold. But this one has proven itself rock solid over the last two weeks. Not a single glitch. I am not going to touch it for a long while. There is a download on the german Vodafone site, but your carrier may have it for you as well.

If you are on an older version, I recommend you update.

I've been running this for over a 1.5 months now, I agree. One of the best so far.

Sadly, its not available on North American carriers yet. So, folks, after you delete your vendor.xml file and you should be good to go!

Running it on my Canadian Rogers BlackBerry Bold.

Is there a changelog available for this version?

I went to 247 last weekend and your right, its the best Bold OS by far. I still have some issues with the browser not opening pages, but I am not sure that is specific to that OS version ;-)

Have you gotten any random restarts with 247? I have seen 3 so far - anyways, worth every moment of the upgrade. Everything runs better.

Part of me wants to try out the 5.0 BOLD os leak, but I guess you can't downgrade. So I will at least wait for an official version from someone.

(sigh) I'm still very depressed over the loss of my Bold to a hardware failure. I have a 8900 which is very nice... but would rather have a Bold. Oh well...

Yup. The 8900 is a great phone. But it lacks 3G and I find it to "feel" somewhat cheaper. On the other hand, it's smaller and lighter.
