Not sure. Do I want that? So far not many websites outside of Microsoft have asked for it. Actually I can't think of a single one.

Actually, just this morning a friend asked me to install Silverlight for him, in order to watch some vitally important stuff...
IIRC heise sometimes asks for it to display ads.
If u have a French based IP u can watch live HD (720P) coverage of the Tour de France on France 2, Silverlight is required. Really cool .....check it out here: http://tour-de-france.france2.fr/?page=exclusif_HD
That works on SL2 as well. And it sounds french to me:
:-)
In the UK, the ITV version of the BBC's iPlayer, uses silverlight. Maybe I'd install it if they had anything worth watching.
@Kerr - until you install it, how do you know they don't have anything worth watching? ;)
@Colin, It's not like I don't know what programmes are on. I have a telly and flick past the crap on ITV on a regular basis. I use the BBC iPlayer to catch up on stuff I know about but missed. Maybe I'll have another go if I miss the next Poirot episodes. The ITV catchup website is also so terrible that trying to find anything interesting is entirly futile.
I somehow think this is going into the wrong direction. I don't want to install MORE plugins into my browser, I want to get rid of them. Especially for watching videos I would really like to see the HTML 5 tag and the built-in browser support to spread quickly.
Silverlight 3.0 supports offline apps and apps running on the desktop with no browser ties ala flex
