I'll admit to sometimes using the same kind of indelicate language when engaged in computer repair. I tend to use different tools, however.
I saw the hammer... so I knew it's wasn't going to end well.. ouch the poor mac...
Helo ! I was a Mac :-)
That mac isn't 5 to 6 yrs old.. It's an Intel based on the configuration and battery. At most it's about 4 yrs old. He keeps the battery but not the ram or harddrive.. those are still useful too.
He should have got a replacement display from ebay and exchange the broken one. No hammer required.
Or just put the whole thing on ebay. Would have fetched a couple hundred bucks.
I admit he chose the more entertaining solution :)
Hoffentlich hat er sich vorher geerdet.
This guy just knows perfectly where every screw sits and how to handle things nice n' carefully in order to fix a mac ;-)
