Thunderstorms make for a bumpy ride

Mine was a rocky ride too for the first 2 hours. I know a pilot and he once told me that turbulence is absolutely nothing to worry about. But being 35,000 feet up in a metal tube, I think we have a right to feel a little bit nervous about it. Well, that's my excuse for gripping the arm rests.

If there was nothing to worry about, they would fly directly through the thunderstorms. Nature has some powerful forces.
