VDSL 50 to the max

Just moved 5 gig of data in a matter of minutes. And I know now that VDSL 50 is not holding back the Entertain VLAN that I have not booked.

I hardly ever use that capacity. But a 10 MBit upstream is pretty handy. I could now run vowe.net from here. Which I am not going to do.

Das wird ja immer noch als Flatrate verkauft. Allerdings wird man nach 200 GB für den Rest des Monats auf DSL6000 runtergedreht. Was man upstream locker in weniger als 2 Tagen erreichen könnte, downstream entsprechend schneller.

Robert Dahlem, 2010-02-03

Theoretisch ja, in der Praxis nein. Ich kenne meinen Traffic und der kommt nicht an 200 GB dran.

Volker Weber, 2010-02-03

Sweet! On the other hand, I hardly use my capacity of 12 Mbit/s line here.

Mathias Ziolo, 2010-02-03

Upstream bandwidth always seems to be there, it's the downstream that seems to lag, or just that no one has capacity to flood it. Most I have seen is about 22mb/s on a VDSL50 connection.

I was very confused by your chart indicating appalling bandwidth, until I realised a German period "." is a comma "," everywhere else :)

Let's not get into a wrong-side-of-the-road fight, ok? ;-)

The British are driving on the right side of the road, and always have.
