This Google Wave looks promising

So some are still using google wave... ;-)
And you still can't do such simple things as permanently deleting a wave, for example. #no-go :-(
Novell Pulse looks even promisinger
Christian, you can not delete a Wave, the same way you can not delete a file from a versioning system or document storage. In collaboritive software, deletion is a bad idea because you are not the only user.
Considering that storage is cheap and Wave probably has a feature to show most recent objects before irrelevant old data, it is actually a benefit.
It takes some time to get used to this way of thinking, but it's the way to go.
What I find promising is replay. Consider disconnected or low bandwidth use cases, such as a ship coming in and out of satellite range. Or Doctors without Borders collaborating in catch-up mode.
Cool stuff.
