Advantage Facebook: Filters
by Volker Weber
One of the great features in Facebook is that you can filter unwanted content. Have a friend who pipes in his chatty Twitter stream? Just block him. Somebody needs to let the world know when they are going out to their favorite burger joint? Bye bye, Gowalla. Your friends need to let you know about their progress in Farmville and Mafia Wars, and that they became the mayor of the pizza parlor down the street? You can just block the application, and all those fake achievements are gone.

These filters saved me of information overflow a lot of times. Unfortunately, they seem not to be active in Facebook.app on my iPhone :-/ FAIL!
REALLY looking for something like that in Twitter - "The new @yourfriend Daily is out!" - hate it!
@Mario: i can't change/add filter from the iPhone, but they apply to the stream displayed in the app. i love my filter set - i wish i could export/backup (or even share) it.
TweetDeck lets you define per column or universal filters to exclude specific messages or tags.
I would be grateful if you could tell me, where I can get this nice overview. I have seen it before, but cannot remember where to find it again.
Thanks in advance.
Am Fuße des News Stream
Ah, "Optionen bearbeiten" zeigt etwas anderes an, wenn man auf "Hauptmeldungen" steht, als bei "Neueste Meldungen". Danke.
