Bought any music from Rhapsody? Burn & Rip. NOW.

by Volker Weber

This is a friendly reminder for our customers to backup any and all files purchased from Rhapsody or RealNetworks Music Stores before July 2008.

Within the next 30 days we will be upgrading our internal systems and will no longer be supporting Rhapsody encrypted (RAX) files. These files will still continue to play. However, if you have any of these files on your computer, we advise you back them up by burning them to audio CD, as you will no longer be able to re-license these files. Once you have burned your tracks to audio CD, they can be converted and stored in any format you desire.

We want to make sure you keep the tracks that you paid for, so be sure to back-up your tracks for safe-keeping!

Thanks,

-Rhapsody

Repeat after me: DRM is bad for the customer.
