BMW would offer that as the Performance Part M-style bodykit for those who can't afford the real thing but splash plenty on cosmetics :-) More edgy and aggressive, quite expensive, though no better or worse (or faster) than the normal product - just a little different. It is mad marketing which, lets be honest, works more often than not...

I love these exclusive products. You get a lot of money flowing back into the economy without waisting a lot of material or energy.
This phone reminds me of Strongbad from Homestar runner for some odd reason.
