Microsoft ad lies. Ballmer doesn't.

The clever Microsoft ad depicting people who miss the important moments in their life, because they are looking at their phone, claims Windows Phone 7 to be "designed to get you in, and out, and back to life." Steve Ballmer called Windows Phone 7 "always delightful and wonderfully mine".

I think Ballmer hits it better than the ad.

From having used one of those new phones, an HTC 7 Trophy, I think you will spend more time on it instead of less. It's not faster than the BlackBerrys Microsoft is making fun of. It's not more effective. But it's "delightful". Beautifully designed, with great interactions and a good flow between different parts of the phone. Much like RIM claims for BlackBerry 6. Only prettier, and not as fast. Try checking what's new on Facebook. You will have to look in three different hubs: contacts, photos and me.

Prepare to spend more time with your phone if you get one of those. And that's what you want to do, if you spend so much money on it, don't you?

Oh no, but you should spend time on your PC with Windows 7 - you can not no you must not replace that by a phone ... nonononono!
